wild card search in address book lookup

1.when i click on the address book icon , the address book pop up comes and
there i have to type my display name exactly otherwise it would not show me
the user name.
example:
My display name is XXX, YYYY
if I type YYYY it does not show my name.

It would be nice to change this into a "like" search on the display name or
change this into a user specific setting(if you feel this is going to hit
performance) .

2. I do know that if i am using the find items (icon) search i can enter the
first name
and do a search... but two clicks is required and also in that search say my
phone number is a +91 80 AAAA XXXX .. i have to enter the whole string in
this format otherwise it won't find say if in enter XXXX (or) AAAA XXXX => no
result
