Outlook name cache in address book search text box

Outlook has a small address book search text box top and center. It searches
the global access list to find matches. However, when composing email, Word
is able to guess who I am looking for based on people I have contacted in the
past. I typically create a new email message and start typing people's last
names if I am looking for someone's contact information because it is
quicker. The address book search box should do the same.

they are two different technologies for two different purposes - the name
caching of people you previously replied to is a simple file with just the
email address and display name), not a database like contacts folder. That's
not to say future versions may offer such a capability, but it will be very
slow if you have thousands of contacts.
