widescreen format for a few clips

Due to my own mistake, most important clips have a black bar running across
the bottom and the top of them. The newer clips do not. Is there any way to
change the aspect ratio on just a few clips in a project?

The only solutution I can think of would
be to crop the clips and reimport them.
