Why?

I had the original Giant spyware and loved it. When it expired is when I
found out that Microsoft purchased it and had a beta version, which I
downloaded. Now it doesn't detect anything! I don't understand how they
could take a good thing and ruin it?

It still detects the same significant threats that the Giant product did.
However, it no longer detect cookies. Other free antispyware apps do still
detect and selectively remove cookies.

Cookies ARE NOT a threat to you security, which is what you should be
concerned the most about. If your system isn't secure, then your privacy
means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING since anyone could gain access to all of your
personal information and use it to become "YOU!"
