Why won't Word show what page I'm working on in the bar at bottom? I'm using
Word 2007, which I do not like, and it no longer shows what page you are
working on along the bottom of the screen. I'm not talking about inserting a
page number on the document. I mean, a number at the bottom where the word
count is. I've tried right clicking the bar and choosing "page number" and
"formatted page number" and neither one work. The page number does not change
as I scroll down the document. It will say "Page 5 of 5" as I'm looking at an
8 page document. Or it will say "Page 3" when I'm on/in page 7.

I am one to embrace evolving technology, but only when it's meant to make
our work more efficient. This new Word does not.

Word 2007 does show it here. So, I would assume that there is some kind of
glitch -- with the document you're working on, a registry glitch, or a
problem with Normal.dotm.

Does it work correctly if you start Word in safe mode (hold down the Ctrl
key as Word is starting, and click Yes to starting in safe mode)?
