anytime i put a disc in the drive, whether it be a music Cd or a program Cd,
nothing happens, do i have a setting to configure to get it to just run
automatically? It works if I am goin to add a program, but this wont help for
using the drive to burn and play Cd's.... thanks, Lisa

one the software you use should helpo add music etc.

secondly if you want it to do something when a cd is in drive you can right
click to tell it to autoplay.

Thirdly you can right click on the drive select properties select the
autoplay tab and choose the program. or you can make sure the thing is select
that says prompt what program to use.

there is also a setting in the registry that I had to hack into once and
change to enable AutoRun (I seem to recall there is a subtle difference
between AutoRun and AutoPlay), anyhow I changed the value of
nodrivetypeautorun in the registry to 95000000, that did the trick for me.
