I am merging a database with a word document to supply customer letters.
I've created a macro for the letters and devised a letter containing the
various feild to be taken from the database. When I create the merged
document my first letter never shows up. The first person is always in my
document to be merged because he is in the insert merge field as an example.
How do I get him included in my merged document???

Just a guess since you don't mention which version of Word, but assuming
2003...

When you select your recipient source file, remove the check in the dialog
box for 'First row of data contains column headers'.
