Why taking TOO long scanning?

Hi:
I switched to McAfee from Norton Security/Anti-Virus
because my ISP advised to use this, Free Anti-Virus that
is compatible to the ISP.

After having installed McAfee and put it on scan, it taking
too long, .... even in two hours' scanning, it still didn't finish
yet. There is NO virus infected into two hours' scanning.

On Norton, at most it took about one hour to complete scanning.

Wonder why McAfee taking TOO long scanning?

Not sure why your ISP has anything to do with this, honestly - your
antivirus software is entirely your choice, and doesn't affect them one bit
(or vice versa).
I'm not a fan of Norton *or* McAfee, personally, but if you find that McAfee
isn't working as well as you'd like, uninstall it and use the product you do
like.
Beyond that, you might check with McAfee support / forums for help with
their software.
