I have windows xp it was going into standby mode after
being idle for a few minutes every thing was on never
shut down. When it came back on it would freeze up. So I
put a screensaver on thinking that would help. Now the
screensaver freezes alt ctrl delete don't work and escape
doesn't either..Please HELP..Thanks Denny

Make sure hibernation is not enabled as well.
You may have to disable APM in your mainboard BIOS.

Denny:
When you get back to your desktop, right click, chose properties, then the
screen saver tab. Then click the
power button. Next, make sure the "System standby" is set to never( or what
ever you deem permissible for you) , and do the same for "System hibernate".
This should do it.
I hope this helps. Please reply to this string, so others may help if it
does not work.
Sincerely
Larry Maietta
