Why so I get duplicate files in outlook? Contacts, calender etc

I keep getting duplicate fliles in my outlook for contacts and calender. The
duplicates do not have any info in them. Any clues why this is happening?
 
Are you synchronizing Outlook with another program or device? Also, is this
an Exchange mailbox or a .PST file?
