Why poor quality printing on evelopes though not on documents?

In MS Word, the printing on "fine parchment envelopes" is red and green
instead of the normal black. Documents printed on the same type of paper are
OK. What might be the cause/solution?

A difficulty with the printer driver, I'd say.
