Why not included in Student and Home?

Helo!

I'm relly interested in Office System 2007 - I have Student & Teacher
Edition 2003 now. And I have relized that Outlook wil not be included in
Office 2007 Home and Student Edtion.
I find this strange since both students and home users need an
e-mail-program??
Can somebody tell me why Outlook isn't included in Student and Home
Edition(2007)??

Because they are not the PTM for Outlook and will have a decent alternative
with Outlook Express and an even better one with Windows Mail (in Windows
Vista). Instead of including Outlook it will include OneNote which would (in
most cases) have more added value than Outlook for them.

Note that with the current pricing (and I'm sure when you are in America you
can get better package deals) you are better off getting Home and Student +
Outlook than OEM + PowerPoint or Standard (upgrade). For less than $20 extra
you'll have the same applications as all the other version but then with
OneNote and you have a better license deal; 3 of each instead of 1 of each
(except Outlook of course but that license might allow you to also install
it on one mobile device).
