why my system hangs after some beaps

Hi All,
I have a problem in my PC. My PC is a assembled P4 with 256 Ram,
ASUS Intel Chipset Motherboard and two hard drives 20 GB seagate and
80 GB seagate hard drive. I purchased it 2 years before. Now these
days I am having a problem that my system hangs after two beaps and if
I restart the system it doesn’t detect hard drives and only after
completely shut down the power and then start system it shows it. I
faced it so many times recently. I want to know what is the problem
and how to solve it. I also want to tell that my UPS is down so I am
using it directly from the power.
Thanx in advance.

Depends on the BIOS maker but two beeps sounds like the AMI memory fault code.

Try reseating the RAM and see if that helps.
