why my outlook doesn't exit after i closed it?

outlook can't exit after i closed it.it will appear message "Please wait
until Microsoft Outlook exit"

microsoft outlook 2000 SR-1(9.0.0.3821).i already scan my pst folder but
doesn't change anything.
