Why is my task request being received as an e-mail?

When I send a Task Request, the other computer in my office receives it as a
simple e-mail AND the task doesn't get entered in my task list. When the
other computer sends it to me, the task request gets entered on its task
list, but it comes to me as an e-mail and doesn't go on my task list. I'm
guessing that I've got a setting wrong somewhere. HELP! Thanks, LFaulkner420
