When I open an email it is automatically zoomed in. I have to zoom out just
to be able to read it. It only happens on rich text messages - plain text
and html messages appear normal size. Does anyone know which "feature" is
doing this?

Do you have Word set as your email editor or set to read RTF files?

In Outlook, Go to Tools | Options | Mail Format Tab
There are 2 checkboxes in the top section
Are either of these checked?
If so, try unchecking them and see if the zooming stops.

That was it! I had "Use Microsoft Word 2003 to read Rich Text e-mail
messages" enabled. When I turn it off my RTF emails appear at full size.
