Why has Microsoft stolen money from my bank account ...

and now fobbed me off over 45 e-mails before closing the upgrade redemption
centre, sending me an e-mail MINUTES before they closed the upgrade e-mail
account?

They took payment twice from my bank account over 3 months ago for the Vista
upgrade, and are now ignoring my requests to get the money back. I have 45
e-mails from the pathetic upgrade redemtion centre where they insisted I had
to send a bank statement at my own expense to prove THEY had taken the
payment, lost it, asked for the same information again, then again, then
again.... STILL NO REFUND TO DATE

Up to you Microsoft - I e-mailed you on the 01 Aug 2007, and you've still
ignored me. I'll be seeing you in the County Court now to get the money
back, and that's gonna cost ya much more than the money you owe me.

Anyone else got a similar problem??????????????

You seriously think anyone from MS will show up in court to defend
themselves in a low cost dispute? More than likely no one will show and
you will get a default judgment. THEN you gotta collect, somehow. Good
luck with that!!

You've got them running scared now! Microsoft in incredibly inefficent and
the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

You might be better off finding out who Bill Gates secretary is and calling
the office. Years ago I had an issue with the timing of the traffic lights
on a major Seattle highway. There were two traffic lights abut 500 yards
apart. One was run by the county and one was run by the state. When I
called to try and get the lights syncronized, I got the run around. So I
thought, maybe I'll start at the top. My next call was to the Governor's
secretary. She was very nice and I told her the problem. The following
week, I received a call from the people at the traffic department asking me
to come down and check to see if the syncronized lights were to my
satisfaction. It worked.

This is a "peer-to-peer" newsgroup. If you are having
a problem with a transaction with Microsoft, you'll have
to deal with them directly.

If you are in the U.S., call (866) 234-6020 and request assistance.

He should be glad he is not dealing with Dell.

http://www.consumerist.com - Great place to post your story and get answers
or suggestions to resolve all sorts of consumer related problems. They have
a ton of email addresses for CEOs, and stuff like that. If you post
something well thought out (i.e. not sounding like a ranting raving lunitic
at the end of his/her leash) you'll get action pretty quickly.

So, did you dispute the charges with the credit card company?

He stated that they extracted money from his bank account. I am assuming
that it is his checking account and not his credit card.

And this surprises you?!? Just wait, it won't be long before your dog
pinches out a steaming pile while on a walk that has an EULA attached
which reads "This product is licensed, not sold... Copyright Microsoft"
