Worried!

I can recieve e-mails and the forward/reply/new e-mail options open but I
cannot type (small red x top left corner). I have just reinstalled office
(with outlook) on my new pc with windows vista. Office is the XP version. Any
help/advice welcome. Note all other e-mail applications (sky/hotmail) work
fine.

Outlook versions prior to 2003 have issues running on Windows Vista:

Does Outlook work on Vista?

Your symptoms don't match any of the listed issues, can you provide any more
detail? The first thing that comes to mind about a small red x would be a
graphic of some kind that won't display...

Outlook 2002 (part of Office XP) is not compatible with Vista.

I have the exact same problem (small red X top left corner of reply and/or
forward area) I have Office Enterprise 2007. Is it also a problem
interfacing with Vista?
thanks,
marcia
