Why does Word reconfigure documents used daily?

Word 2007 documents used daily, each day many of them cause the system to
reconfigure before showing the document. Sometimes even if the same document
has been used earlier in the same session. It does not always occur, but
opening documents at first of day requires excessive time for the
configuration process, and the documents affected are random.

Have you meanwhile used an earlier version of Word?

Do you have more than one version of Word (e.g., Word 2003 and
Word 2007) installed on the same computer? If yes, then you can
modify the Windows registry as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=928091 "Information about
using 2007 Office suites and programs on a computer that is
running another version of Office" to stop the configuration process.
