Why does Word 2003 Bold every word in my document?

When I want just one or 2 words bold Word 2003 is bolding the entire
document. I have to hit undo and then just the 2 words I wanted bold are now
in bold. But sometimes it also takes the bold out of other sections that I
want bold.

What is this??
