Office 2003

Hi

In Word 2003 I have underlined text. When I bold more than half of the text
it automatically bolds the underline. If I bold just a couple of words it
does not bold the underline. I do not want any bold underlining. Does
anyone know how to stop the underlining from bolding.

Thank You.

maybe:
select the text

[convert]
[text to table]
add a boarder to the bottom of the cell
bold any part of the text and the boarder does not change

That is a good Idea, we work for the legislature and we need to use this in
the journals and we can't change the formatting, but we would like to beable
to bold without the underline being bolded. It would also complicate things
alot for those documents.

Thank you for trying to help.
