why does the "my computer" file open itself after windows boots up

the "my computer" file opens itself after windows boots up on XP Pro, my
friend also has their "my documents" file do the same... how can we prevent
this, i checked both our startup folders and they are empty apart from our
broadband connections.
 
The "My Documents" folder automatically opens every time that you log on to
a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based computer:

Download Startup Tracker application from this page:

Launch the program, and click the "View log" button. Post the contents of
the log file here.
