Why Does The Bush Administration

$

$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hate arabs, and love to kill them. Why does it support large money hungry
corporations that prey on the weak and needy for needs of the rich? Why does
Bush feel ameriKKKan style freedom somehow fits in with what he imagines
should be all the same freedom for all nations like the one his master race
has?

D

David Candy

Three reasons. Arabs have oil and the US wants assurance that they can buy it. They want to surround russia. It might help win an election.

S

Stephan

oh stop whining!
Bush's administration doesn't hate arabs,
it hates everyone who isn't a born again christian!
The goal of it is to turn America from a Democracy into a Theocracy...
and intolerant one, similar to to intolerant theocracies in many middle
eastern countries!

only difference: which "prophet of god" and book to follow....

Jim Macklin

If Bush or any American General really hated Arabs, we would
not have 145,000 ground troops, we would just use the C141,
C5, C17 [using the big 15,000 pound MOAB] and the B1 and B2
to bomb them all to Hell. But 90% of the Arab world and 90%
of the Muslim world are decent people, but that still means
there are 100,000,000 people out there who hold with the
14th Century. Americans would rather make friends and
business partners, but if we have to we can and will kill
those 100 million to save ourselves and the 900 million
decent Muslims.

Seems pretty strange that anybody would consider strapping a
bomb around their waist to be a religious statement.

US killed 6 million civilians since WW2
Germany killed 6 million Jews in WW2
3000 civilians are nothing.

Many in Cambodia bTW in the early 70s. Anyway, it all comes down to
arms. eg if I dont pay my taxes or default on a large credit card charge
the local US govt. comes to my
house with men armed with weapons that I personally, am prohibited from
owning.

ie The guy with the biggest gun wins.

This is "natural" human evolution mind you as the same would apply if
3000 years ago if
my neighboring indian tribe needed food for the Winter they would feel
no guilt in raiding my camp for my foodstufs and killing any person who
stood in their way.

10,000 years ago this would apply to the "cavemen" technology.

Humans really havn't really advanced in thousands of years. Thus the
reason nobody from
other places in space really wants to make contact with us as we are
really, quite
primative.

Heck, look at Iraq. Men are still shooting lead bullets at other men.
That is SO dumb.

I feel like I live in a world of idiots.

Since WWII means Korea, Viet Nam and a few other places
around the world. But what is the source of the figure 6
million civilians?

There is a web site devoted to it but I don't know the URL and the Iraq war (it's hogging search engines) has made searching for it again hard. But here are some other resources at the end of this post.

But there is no doubt that Americans kill civilians. Many actions taken by US forces are war crimes in other countries. Australian and British forces invading Iraq wouldn't attack the same targets as US forces and had a seperate legal vetting system (they'd be put in gaol here if they did was is legal for US forces)

US soldiers seem far less professional than other nations soldiers, especially now with national guard units deployed. Still it's a failure at the top of the Army not with the troops.

In East Timor a Australian soldier kicked the body of a dead militia after they were ambushed. I think it was a two year investigation into the matter and charges were dropped because the NZ government withheld permissions for it's soldiers (the ones who witnessed and reported it) to testify in public on security grounds (all involved were Aust or NZ SAS).

Misguided religion can make some people very sick indeed.

::
: Misguided religion can make some people very sick indeed.

And what gives YOU the right to call anyones religion "misguided"? Who the
F$%# do you think you are? GOD ALMIGHTY? You must be a catholic.

J

Jim Macklin

Personally, I think most religions are rather out dated and
misguided in today's world. They all have their right to do
what they want, except demand that I pray to their version
of GOD, or that they have the duty to kill me if I don't bow
to Mecca three times a day.

I prefer to see logic, science and faith in the human mind
rather than blind faith in a "soap opera" written by men
several thousand years ago.
Does that make me Catholic?

God gave me a mind, and I'm not afraid to use it. If you are arguing
that the Sept 11th terrorists were not misguided, you too are insane.

Usama Bin Laden (who americans call Osama cos the first three letters are USA) analysis is no different to right wing domestic american analysis of America.

Jews, Christians, Catholics, and Muslims believe in the same God. They all adhere to the old testament. Muslims celebrate the birth of Jesus as they consider him a prophet. The Koran regards Jews and Christians as "People Of The Book". They are spirtually unfinished and should be treated well. They are not infidels because they are believers.

Usama believes that despite Western claims of being God fearing folk, they tolerate homosexuals, pre-maritial sex etc. So Usama believe that the West are NOT people of the book but infidels.

All he wants is infidels (self confessed ones like communists and USA who claim they're not) to piss of from his corner of the world.

Remember I am an infidel, he would kill me. A religious jew (who's not in Israel) he probably wouldn't.

Religious nutters are the same the world over.

N

NoNoBadDog!

Point is well taken and well remarked. I challenge any of you to name a
religion that has NOT killed in the name of it's God or it's destiny.

Those who masterminded the 9/11 attacks deserve protracted agonizing death.

The following is for the OP:

As far as the killing of civilians go, it occurs with every war.
"Collateral Damage" and "Acceptable Loss of Non-Combatants" are terms used
within our military to "justify" the loss of civilian life.

I spent a career in the Army, and fought in Vietnam and the first Gulf War.
It is easy for you cowardly, snot nosed little mommas boys to sit back and
accuse the Bush administration and the military and all the other "evil"
entities you point your fingers at. But where were you after 9/11? Would
you still feel that same if your parents had died in the collapse of the
towers? Have you ever had the silver spoon out of your mouth long enough to
realize that you are literally owed nothing? You EARN it.
When I think of all the good men we lost in Vietnam, and the men we have
lost in both operations in the Persian Gulf, I want to cry. But I don't
take the cowardly route and sit on my ass like you have. You are not even
worth one drop of the blood shed by American soldiers. You are an
insignificant speck of fly-shit, and if I were to ever meet you on the
street, I would most likely want to spit on you.

No the Americans don't. SOME foreign ex-pats do, most 'Americans' don't.
Since you start off showing you know nothing, why would anyone read more?

Guess youir right, most Americans can't read and are known as an ignorant people.

A google of nytimes show 612 Osama v's 3 Usama.
A google of CNN show 23,200 Osama v's 240 Usama.

J

Most American call him a bastard and a son of a sow.
