Why does Outlook convert incoming mail from HTML to plain text?

Using reading pane in Outlook 2003 with everything set to HTML, but Outlook
seems to be taking it upon itself to convert incoming HTML e-mails to plain
text forcing me to have to click in the bar at the top of the mail to force
it back in to HTML.

Can anyone help me stop it doing this please and leave incoming HTML mails
as HTML as it is driving me nuts??

Dear,
Did you take out this check box?

On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Preferences.
Click E-mail Options, and then select the Read all standard mail in plain
text check box.
