Why does Outlook CONSTANTLY try to send messages that don't exist.

Outlook is constantly flashing a message at the bottom of the page: "sending
1 of 3 messages". After about 30 seconds of this, an error symbol appears.
Clicking on the symbol, the "details" list tasks that resulted in an error.

Keep in mind, there are no messages in the Outbox and I've not created any
messages to be sent. And, there are no messages in the draft folder, either.

Norton says I have no bugs and Spybot doesn't find anything either.

This looked promissing for a while; however after following for a bit, the
same problem continued. However, I do believe that the problem IS associated
with "return receipts" request from two senders. Thanks for your effort.
