Why does Outlook 2003 says Folder Last Updated for yesterdays date

I have a question about why does Outlook 2003 in the bottom right say Folder
Last Updated 01.30.08. When clearly I have been receiving emails all day
today

It turns out I click on the the lower right to work offline and now it says
todays date this mornings time. SO all is good I guess?! I am using
Exchange 2003.
