Why does Outlook 2003 only allow you to save pics as BMP?

When someone sends me jpg photos inserted in an email, I want to save them to
my hard drive. When I right click and choose save as, Outllook 2003 only
allows me to save the file as a BMP. The pics that are sent are indeed JPG,
and I want to save them as such.
