Why does Outlook 2002 disconnect during send/receive?

I installed MS Office XP Professional. Use dial-up. No problems staying
connected in Internet Explorer. However, when Outlook 2002 opens and begins
its send/receive, disconnects after 1-2 minutes. How can I fix this
disconnect problem which occurs only
during send/receive?

At a minimum you would need to provide your mail account type(s), connection
type (note: "dial up" is not a connection type; tell us what you specified),
and automatic polling intervals for anyone to be able to answer you.

possibly you have a different connection set for Outlook and it tries to
grab that connection. Set your Outlook accounts to use the LAN connection.

My ISP is ev1.net and is accessed by a phone-line dial-up (i.e. not by LAN).
Is this what you were questioning? Parrott

No. Please reread my questions.
Just look at you account and see what connection type you specified. That's
what counts.
Is this a POP3/SMTP account?
Do you have automatic Send/Receive interval set?
