Why does my Sony DCR-TRV19 Camera not appear when using Windows XP Pro SP2?

I installed just about every update available for Pro, and I've done
all the uninstalling and reinstalling of 1394 drivers and nothing has
worked. Right now, all of the ports are free except for one which has
the camera connected. The camera is turned on with the vcr mode
activated.

I went to Scanners and Cameras and only a scanner appears (printer that
I have).

I have moved the firewire card to another pci port. nothing.

The card does work with a large hard drive I have, so I know it's not
the card.

What else could it be?

This camera worked when I had it on Windows XP Home Edition First
edition.

Have you checked Sony site for any updated drivers/software, FAQ's?

Why? Only install updates you need or want, not cause they are simply
available.
