why does my pc restart evrytime i shutdown

Hi, wonder if anyone could helpme, basically my pc restarts everytime i click
on shut down anyone know whats happened and how to solve this issue.

Try: Start - Settings - Control Panel - Power Options - Advanced.

Tell the computer to shut down when you press the power button.

If that doesn't work, come back.
 
It could be that your computer is "crashing" during shutdown.

Go to My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Startup and Recovery and remove the
check from the box "Automatically Restart.

Now if the system crashes on shutdown you will be presented with a blue
screen that "may" help others identify what may be causing the problem.

hi richard with regards to your suggestion its already unchecked and does
not come up with a blue screen.

to the above the its already set at that so dont know what else to do.
