Why does my new mail change from Bold to not bold?

My new mail will come into my inbox as bold...then after a few minutes will
"un-bold". I checked setting is view, options - other - reading pane - here
I unchecked the box for "mark items as read after so many seconds"...still no
help...the email on my palm does the same (synced with work email)...

any ideas??

Something is marking the mail as read. Is your Palm automatically
downloading your mail every x minutes? That can tend to do that.
