Why does mage of interactive button disappear when I hover?

Why would the images on all my interactive buttons disappear when I hover?
They worked OK initially. What could I have done to cause the hover image not
to display? How can I trouble shoot the problem?

publish both the "on" and "off" image?\

if the "over" image is displaying the image place-holder (with a red 'X') or
similar it means the image is not there. but please provide us with the URL.

The paths to your buttons are not correct or you are using IB in shared borders (not supported)

Donald Duck, Did you ever figure out why your IBs are disappearing because I
am having the same problem. They seem to disappear when I hover; ION close
scrutiny, see a portion of that square that shows up when images aren't
available. There is some text, but it is of a color I never selected and
also cut off horizontally so that you see a little bit of the font. Let me
know if you found the answer, please, or if anyone has more to add. Thanks!
