why does auto complete stop working?

In outlook every so often auto complete will stop working when typing in the
TO: names. Almost as if the history has been dumped. I cant find any history
settings within outlook so I assume it may be driven off of IE's history
etc...

Help?
 
No. The NK2 file never "purges itself." After storing 1000 entries it starts
replacing old entries with new ones in a FIFO algorithm. Sounds like your
have a corrupt profile. Create a new one. I assume you know how to migrate
the existing NK2 files to new profiles.
