Why do slides not print when printing notes?

I have an Office XP Power Point file with 20 slides. When I print Notes
Pages, the notes print on every page, but the slides do not print on pages 1,
5, 7, 9-12. The space where the slide should be is blank. Print Preview
shows the same result. If I paste the offending slides into another file
with same slide Masters, I have the same result. I would appreciate any
suggestions on the cause and resolution of this problem. If I print Slides
or Handouts, all slides print.

Check and see if the slides not printing are not hidden slides

Try this:

Go to the notes view on the slide that won't print
Click the slide placeholder and delete it
Choose Format, Notes Layout
Put a check next to "Slide image" (and optionally "Reapply master")
Click OK

Try print preview again to see if that fixes it.
