Not an Outlook issue. You are using Word as the e-mail editor. Go ask in a
Word newsgroup. You'll need to change the option to show that special
character.

I'm guessing that you're using Word as your email editor. Open a new email
message, go to the Tools menu > Options command > View tab and uncheck
"Field codes"

Post replies to the newsgroup. Share with others.
For e-mail: Remove "NIX" and add "#VN" to Subject.

Thanks I fixed it. I opened a new email/Tools/View/Formatting marks/unchecked
all. Thanks for the help. Is there a way to undo Find and Repair in Outlook
so I can retrieve all my deleted email and contacts?

Search for *.pst. Use the advanced option to search hidden files and
folders. Hopefully you'll find more than one pst and the other one will have
the missing stuff.
