Why do I have to keep registering windows XP?

Lately I have had to call Microsoft registry to get a new 42 digit number.
How can I stop this.

Sorry this is the MS Access (the database program) newsgroup. Try a
newsgroup devoted to the program you are using. You should find people
better able to address your problem there than here.
