Why do folders disappear from Outlook 2007 and come back later?

I find that on occasions, Outlook 2007 doesn't display all of my folders.
Sometimes, they appear later - could be seveal hours later and sometimes they
don't but may reappear several days later..

Any ideas?

It may depend on what view of the navigation pane you are using. All folders view will show you every folder you have in Outlook. The Mail folder view will only show mail enabled folders. Likewise with the Calendar and Contacts buttons at the bottom of the navigation pane.

I use all folders most of the time. A quick shortcut to see this view in the navigation pane is Ctrl+6.
