why do files in lower case show up in upper case in Front Page?

I have files on my computer beginning with lower case letters. When I get
into front page the file names begin with a capital letter! Since our server
is case sensitive this is causing problems. Another user in the same office
opens front page and has lower case letters on file names. What causes this?

It is caused by you typing a capital letter in the filename.
You should use all lowercase. Jimco has an add-in that will change all
filenames to lowercase:

Also remember not to use spaces in filenames.
