Why do all my Outlook messages come in with "extra line breaks"?

If I want to change this, I have to click on the bar above the message that
says "This message has extra line breaks" and I get a "remove line breaks"
option which I have to click. I also need help with another item-whenever I
minimize the Outlook window, it closes the program and it has to be
restarted. I haven't changed anything-it just started doing this. Any help
would be appreciated.

Click Tools>Options>E-mail Options. Is "Remove extra line breaks in plain
text messages" checked or not?

It isn't closing and it doesn't need to be restarted. Right-click the
Outlook icon in the system tray and uncheck "Hide When Minimized".
