A no brainer for most I'm sure.
I set up my windows mail account (I have vista). I can send mail and pics
from there, but my incoming mail is not going there. I have to pick up my
mail at my Yahoo address. I like the ease sending mail out from the windows
mail program and would also like to receive my mail there. What am I doing
wrong? Help please and thanks.

When this happened to me, it was because of a typo in the set up of the
webmail...please reacheck your settings where you set up your incoming and
outgoing mail in the PROPERTIES tab...my mail carrier is the same for both
incoming and outgoing mail, check with your carrier to verify your settings.

Free US-based Yahoo accounts do not have POP access.
Which country do you reside in, and do you have a free or
premium Yahoo account?

I am having the same issue. I can send mail, but am not receiving the mail
on my windows mail. I am still receiving it my outlook program. I need to
stop this and have all mail going through this program.
I have checked the spelling of both ingoing and outgoing addresses.
Any other ideas?
Thank you so much!

I'm having the same problems as everyone. Can send but can't receive
getting very upset. Checked and rechecked the POP access information too.

Is Outlook receiving the email messages, then deleting them on the server?
Maybe WM doesn't have a chance to get them.

Any error message when you try to receive mail?
What happens when you send an email to yourself?

I had the same problem when I first set up WM, I had put the same settings as
in my outlook 2003 program. Then I uninstalled the MCaffe antivirus that
comes with the computer and the e-mails started to download but after
download 2 or 3 message stops and the following message appears:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.coqui.net', Server: 'pop.coqui.net', Protocol:
POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F

Any suggestions?

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.

There is a good chance that McAfee corrupted that mail account.
Delete the account. Restart WinMail, then recreate that mail account.
