why cant i use a non-microsoft browser on the update site

why does microsoft's update sites not allow me to use a non-microsoft
browser. i use mozilla firefox because i found internet explorer to have
numerous security issues.

because non-microsoft browsers take business away from Microsoft, simple
marketing decision.

But, this is an ACCESS newgroup. We deal with Microsoft Access databases,
not Internet Explorer.

I don't know why, but have you tried telling Firefox to impersonate IE?
I gather it can be done, though I don't know for sure that do so will
make the site work properly.
