why cant i send or receive messages?

it shows as its sending but on the side a windows mail it says authorizaing
and then connceted n then not connected and it exits can you please help me

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, I CALL VERIZON THEY SAY CAN DO NOTHING.
