why can't I send e-mail when the test message works

I am trying to use the e-mail function in outlook express. When I test my
email settings the test message goes through. When I try to send an email, I
get Error 0x800CCC0F your server doesn't support ssl connection. My firewall
is off. I have Norton Internet security, with the latest updates. I told
norton not to screen outgoing email. And outlook express works with these
same settings. Why won't outlook work

Read the error message. It clearly states that you have the SSL option on
but your server doesn't support it. Turn it off. Tools>E-mail
Accounts>Next. Select your account. Click Change>More Settings, then the
Advanced tab. Uncheck the "This server requires an encrypted connection
(SSL)" boxes.

As I clearly stated in the post, these same settings work with outlook
express. I have gone through everything with my ISP and they say the problem
is on my end. There is some setting in either outlook or internet explorer
that is causing the problem.

Clearly that is the case it you won't try the suggestion, but it's not
Outlook that has the problem.

My server requires secure connections, so I cannot just turn off that
setting. The ports are 995 and 465 which are not allowed without secure
connections. And I receive emails with these settings. It just won't sent
them.
