Why can't I see PPt files through PPT Vista

This is not just a ppt problem. I save certain ppt files into a folder from
email attachments and when I try to open them from ppt it does not see them.
Also when I try to attach certain ppt files to outgoing emails, the Windows
Mail file attacher does not see them either. The only way I can open them is
by clicking on them in File Manager. The only way to send them by email is
by using the ppt Send to Feature. I am running MS XP Office Pro V2000 on
Vista Ultimate.

Is this issue with every folder you save the files in? I wonder if security
in Vista prevents Office 2000 from seeing some folder. As Office 2000 is not
supported under Vista there may some problems with new features in Vista.
For example there may be an issue with the new structure of folders in
Vista.

I have had some problems with Vista not seeing files but I think I have the
major problem resolved. I just discovered I may be the master of my own
misfortune. About 2 weeks ago I duplicated a huge block of files and for
convenience installed it up one or two levels in the File Manager Hierarchy.
Unbeknownst to me, my new work was being saved in the old location. Whenever
and however I went to find a file, I went to the new site. Gr-r--r-r-r-r-!
Thank you for your speedy response. All is well.
