hello.
im having a problem trasnferring my old data from my old pc to my new one.
i used outlook 97-02 pst format. so it couldnt be transferd. as i turned out
that i assemblied the old HD in the new pc i have all my data very
accessible. i setted the old pst as my data file in the new installation. it
worked partialy. i can see my calender but all my groups were deleted and
everthing is in chaos now. how can i make the new installation to be a exact
mirror of my old one. (ps- both of the installtions are office 2007)

Why not?
Which method of transferring did you use?
What happened when you tried?

Use File-> Open-> Outlook Data File... to connect to your original pst-file
in the newly created mail profile on the new computer.
After that you can set it as the default delivery location if you really
want to continue to use a 97-2002 formatted pst-file. If you want to make
use of the advantages of the new file format, you can copy your contents
from the original pst-file you just connected to the newly created new one.

i did that. but still not all my data has been transfered. the gruops and the
labeling of the sessions in the calander and also the old email files have
not been transfered. all i got was a scetch of the calander. maybe i should
go back to my old outlook and re-backup everything. what is the best way?

As Roady states, open your origonal pst from your old system, within
Outlook - no export, no import, a copy of the origonal pst
