It seems that people who troll here have nothing better to do. They think
Ubuntu is the greatest product since sliced bread. Yet they come here day
after day, trying to get people to switch to that inferior product. Ubuntu
is for nerds.

The reason they come here is they can't use Ubuntu so they do the next best
thing. Come to the vista group and try to get people to convert.

Most people are smart enough to see through all that crap. People want to
use their Windows Vista or Windows XP. They don't need or want some stupid
piece of crap like Ubuntu.

You would think that if they loved Ubuntu so much, they would help those
people with problems using and setting up Ubuntu.

Go figure.

Probably for about the same reason there are so many wintrolls on
comp.os.linux.advocacy.

Well, while not a Wintroll, I have helped in the Mandrake group in the past.
Where exactly have you helped in here ray other than to troll?

Though I have an Ubuntu install on this system, and use it sporadically,
I've just added the words "Ubuntu" and "Linux" to the ever expanding
list of filters applied to this newsgroup. The off-topic nonsense here
is ridiculous.

I used to dual boot Ubuntu on this computer.

Now I'm 100% Vista, Ubuntu just stopped being worth having.

I'm still using a Gentoo server install on the other computer though. Only
because I don't feel like paying for a server OS right now.

I agree though, it's ridiculous to have to find all these posts about Linux
on a Vista forum.

*.advocacy in an alt.* or comp.* group is almost always a bad place to be.
This isn't *.advocacy. The advocacy here either way is generally pretty
unhelpful. =)
