Why are my PDF e-mails blank?

My paystubs from work are sent to me in PDF format. I have always received
them before I switched to outlook. However now I am receiving a blank page.
Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing to properly download these
documents?
 
Outlook doesn't do anything to attachments. Does it work correctly when you
download the same attachment from the webinterface of your ISP?
