I'm not sure if this will work for you but this used to happen with me until
I went into Outlook and did the following:
1. Click 'Tools' at top of page.
2. Click 'Options' at bottom of drop down menu.
3. Click 'Mail Setup' tab.
4. Click 'Send/Receive' button.
5. Click 'Edit' button.
6. Click 'Account Properties' button.
7. You should be on a page calle 'Internet Email Settings"
8. Click 'Advanced' tab.
9. At the bottom of the page, UNCHECK 'Leave a copy of messages on server'
10. Click OK
There can be several reasons for this, but you'll have to post more
information, like your Outlook version, the number and type of your
accounts, whether or not you have multiple accounts accessing the same mail
servers, and any other account configuration information you have. Also,
you'll need to state whether or nor you have an antivirus scanner integrated
with Outlook.
