Why am I not able to recieve any emails?

I am a new user with a business email address. and I am not able to recieve
any emails. We have had problems here with other employees, and their email
addresses with sending and recieving emails. I have sent myself several test
emails from my personal email address and have not gotten any of them. How do
I fix this problem?
 
What type of email account is this; POP3, Exchange, etc.?
Are there any errors? What happens when you try to receive mail? When you
email the account from home, do you get a NDR (non delivery report) back
telling you the email couldn't be delivered?
