Pushing 'Switch User' keeps you logged in on the computer
and brings up the users that you choose to log in as. At
that screen, it'll say "Logged In" underneath the user's
name if they are logged into the computer. It's better
to click 'Log Off' instead of 'Switch User.' You end
back up at the start up screen with 'Log Off' and you
won't slow down your computer from other users with their
programs running still on. So, it's a good idea to
click 'Log Off' instead of 'Switch Users' and if it
doesn't say "Logged In" under a user's name, they aren't
logged in.

Our laptop sits on the kitchen counter and there are 3
of us in the family who use it; sometimes they "switch
user," sometimes they don't. When I come to the
computer, I don't know if it's me logged in or someone
else. Is there a way to tell who's currently logged in?
